Author Bio
Alecea Ritter Standlee is an author and scholar whose work focuses on higher education, inequality, and the experiences of first-generation students and faculty. Her writing examines how access to academia has expanded while also revealing the challenges faced by people navigating institutions without inherited academic backgrounds. She brings a critical and sociological perspective to questions of class, inclusion, and educational opportunity.
